My toddler's birthday is in 4 weeks and I wanted to do a bunny themed party for her. I can't find any bunny decorations that aren't easter themed(and they cost an insane amount to get shipped here), so I'm going to have to make things myself. I'm not the craftiest person in the world, but I can follow instructions and make things look somewhat presentable(and she's only turning 2, so she won't care how homemade my attempts are lol).
I thought about making bunny plates, cutting ears out of felt and glueing/stapling them to the back of the plates, but is there anything I can use to make eyes, nose, and whiskers on the plates that would still be safe to eat off of them? I'm going to make ears for the cups and I can draw faces on them but I'm stuck on the plates.
Also need ideas for a bunny themed happy birthday sign, was thinking of cutting out a jumbo bunny out of some kind of paper and using tissue paper or cotton balls to make it look more like a bunny and dying a few to spell out happy birthday, but again I'm not an artist.
And finally I need help with a cake. I can't find a bunny cake pan anywhere near me and I'm not paying 30 bucks to get one shipped here, I found some tutorials online but they're only for a bunny face and I would like to do a full bunny, thinking I could bake a round cake and a rectangular cake(and maybe a square one if needed)and cut the shapes out to make a bunny?
Any other ideas for bunny themed decorations would be helpful, its just for family and close friends so nothing has be perfect, just want to do something that will make her smile.

Make washcloth or facecloth bunnies. You can get all the materials from dollarama. They are super cute here's a video on how to make them - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmQ8s-s0u6g
the lady used them as gift holders but you don't have to.

These bunny rolls are super cute too. Maybe you can make them sweet and add chocolate or jelly in the middle. Just google bunny rolls and there are tons of recipes.

    Bunny cake ideas

    http://athomenabout.blogspot.ca/2010...unny-cake.html
    http://www.coolest-birthday-cakes.co...unny-cake.html

A good frosting to use for a cake like this is jello pudding and dreamwhip - it spreads on easily, covers mistakes (!), and is easy to stick coconut or candies to

    1 1/2 cups cold milk

1 envelope DREAM WHIP Whipped Topping Mix

1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Instant Pudding, any flavor (if vanilla, you can add food colouring)

BEAT milk, whipped topping mix and pudding mixes in deep narrow-bottom bowl with electric mixer on low speed until blended.
BEAT on high 4 to 6 minutes or until mixture forms soft peaks. Makes about 3 cups or enough to frost 2 (8-or 9-inch) layers or 13x9-inch cake. Store frosted cake in refrigerator.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I really wish she liked monkeys or some character that's readily available(her other love is wiggles). Will let you know how it turns out!

Here's a link to another bunny cake....not that you need another one...but I'm posting it because I made this one once before and it was SUPER easy and doesn't require special tools or expertise to make it look good.

Mine looked SO good that no one in my family wanted to cut it...lol...which was nice and all, but eat the darned cake! That's what I made it for! Unfortunately, the laptop that had the picture of my finished one went up in smoke a few years ago so I can't share the final product...but I was some proud of that bad boy!

I enjoy baking but I'm not terribly creative and I don't have fancy and expensive cake making gadgets. All you need are two round baking pans and make sure you click on the link that tells you how to cut the second cake into the right pieces. I also bought an icing applicator tube type thing...just a cheapie...but it helped me make the icing prettier than just spreading it with a kitchen knife.

Also--if you are dealing with toddlers, you might want to play a game of pin the tail on the bunny or make these little devils out of toilet paper tubes, cotton balls, and pipe cleaners. Kids can do most of that themselves:
