YESSSSS.
Now if anyone treats me the way they did last year there during the holidays I'll just kindly remind them that target is coming and they run a slightly tighter ship than the trainwreck that is zellers, and they're not going to last long with any company that has any standard of customer service.

Heard good things from people who have gone across the boarder..but time will tell about selection and prices in Canada. 2 more years of zellers tho..? Eek!

Ehh. I'd say a year at best, Kamgirl. As it is, anyway. They should start doing MASSIVE clearouts/everything must go sales within 6-10 months before when the new store should open. Earlier if they're not stupid, get rid of it quick and steady. Then they've got to redo the entirety of the store, which will probably take a month or so, maybe 2 if they're doing construction outside which I hope they will. That side of the mall needs a fresh face.
So we only have to put up with regular zellers and their ridiculousness for a little while longer. Then it's clearance mania and we get to scoop up all the deals we can carry and laugh like hatters out the door at the grumpy clerks.

Oh Yes! I'm not a fan of Zellers but when it's time to clear those shelves in their closing out sale... Bring. It. ON!

Sad to see another "Canadian" store close, but seems like hard times all around, including US companies. We'll see how long it takes for Target to start looking as shabby as every other dept. store around here.
