Some locations seemingly don't participate in rewards

I know that Starbucks in Safeway doesn't give you bonus stars.
LOL may be but then I have went to different locations [after all we are Starbuck-katoon with more Starbucks than imagined]; my card is always susceptible to 'loss'. I don't even get those $5 dash winner despite doing everything so I always have to call them...hehe
On Monday I got an email saying if I buy 2 handcrafted espresso drinks between april 21st-27th I would get a 4$ Ecard by May 11th. I usually get a venti vanilla iced coffee with cream or a frappucino so I went online to see what my options were. I was glad to see they had a few iced drinks in their espresso category and I got 2 venti iced caramel macchiato (one on Wednesday and the other today).
I got an email.
buy 4 food items between April 28th-May 4th and get 6 bonus stars. I must say I am tempted to treat the kids to a cake pop when I go for the half off frappucino for myself. The 2 promos would overlap from the 1st to the 4th
Starbuck-katoon? You obviously haven't been to Vancouver... lol :)

I got 5 stars when you buy packs of coffee or tea this week
This is always a good incentive for me to get some beans at Starbucks.
But (sigh) I really wish they would send the codes for $1 off plain old brewed coffee or tea more often: it's a lot of fun to get a discount code on stuff you would normally buy already. This business of pushing lattes and sandwiches and fraps all the time I find a bit tedious.
I'm excited about the email I got yesterday- mini frappuccinos! I hardly ever get one because I have very little self-control in that way and will end up indulging in the entire thing, but with the mini frappuccino I could try some of the more exciting flavours without feeling toooooo guilty :D
Anyone knows was that a recent change in Starbucks' birthday drinks reward? It used to be allow for 30 days past the birthday to use, but looks like it has changed to only a week after the birthday. I was so disappointed when I tried to redeem the birthday for my son, whose birthday was over a week ago, and could not get the free drink.
Holly, I just checked their website, http://www.starbucks.ca/card/rewards...ts-and-cs,they updated on Feb 18, 2015:
"Your complimentary birthday Reward will be automatically loaded onto your account and will be available to you for seven(7) days. The offer for the free beverage or food item expires after seven (7) days."
The 15% off coupon expires in 30 days.
