Hm. I really don't think I have a favourite topic of conversation...I have a wide variety of interests, and conversations with anyone can be conversations about just about anything: hobbies, news and sports, food and recipes, I love chatting with our DD about her work!....what I couldn't care less about is chatter about "celebrities"...gag...that is a non issue with me...they're getting so in-bred, it's like they're over priced rednecks! Lol!
Depends which friends I am with. some groups are couponers and we chat about that others are my friends with kids and then others are my political junkie friends :P
Mostly current events, or recent travels. I love hearing all about other people's vacation adventures :)
Like Patty, chats depend on the chatees and the location.
Like chatting with neighbours about their garden and landscaping
Like chatting with coupon friends about their deals.
Like chatting about travel deals and steals.
Every day chats with besties and family about what-not and yada yada:cheesygrin:
I agree with Dan about face to face chats.
Some texts and online chats -- easy to get the wrong message sicne there is no emotion or quick ways to clarify what that person meant. It coudl be an innocent joking comemnt but if the recipient takes it the wrong way, it could be taken as a negative comment.
Hate it when you are with someone or a group and they are more interested in their phone that with talking to you. It's like a drug to some.
One day, that person walking down the street in front of you will walk right into you, because of that phone screen being more important than what's going on in front of them
when home alone its chatting about life/family.. if 'our girls' are here its about their likes. unless they are texting.. *sigh* when that happens we're like ok.. well. time to go home. LOL
when were with family. its anything goes.
friends.. its about the neighborhood.
I'm a nerd. I like talking books.
Anything but religion and politics. Don't have an opinion on either.
Im another person who has different groups of friends with difrerent intereast. I've been talking to some of them over internet for nearly 30yrs..
Same with me.
And definitely depends on which friends I am chatting with.
With my close friends we chat about family, life ect.
With casual acquaintances, spend more time catching up on what the other has been up to.
WIth all the older people in my family you MUST talk about the weather- they give you no choice, that's what they are talking about, lol. :)
