Forgot to mention I also use tangerine as a saving account for my daughter. Children savings accounts pay 1.5% interest rate. So basically, 40$ a month will give me 8 078.78 by the time she's 17 to help pay for her studies. Surprisingly, that's more than my RESP will give me even with government contributions.

No I got my resp thrue another institution and trust me I shopped around. Fees are insane and like I said when you make more than poverty, the government contributions are low. For me its just not worth it to give away my interest and my gains.

And the 1.5% is for a children savings account. TFSA's are also available at tangerine and interest rates vary accordingly to the risk factor you choose.

P.s. the bonus for the orange key is mutual and my part will go on my daughters savings account.
