At first glance you would think this should be in deals, well so did I until I went to Giant Tiger to get it, and it was for a smaller size, 750 ml instead of 1 litre" I'm fed up with everything getting smaller except the price!! I've never seen this size before, well I was never really looking for it. I've seen the 500 ml and the 1 litre, now this!!

yes SavvyLady, like you I had it on my list for the adult kids here, but then another member posted her displeasure about the reduced size of the carton on the flyers thread I think ?? If it wasn't for her mentioning it I would have wasted my time on a trip to get some too. I am so tired of double checking everything on products now, it is brain draining!

I know. Marketing tricks. So now everytime I buy someting, I always divided by the quality (be it L or ml or 100/bag or g) from the price to find out the unit price ($ per L or g or ml or mg), if the unit price is really small, I times it by 100 to move it up to do comparision of different brands of producst before I buy it. And sometimes you will find that even when an item is on sale and it seems cheaper, but when you get down to the details or $/unit or quanitity, you are actually paying more compare to other brands that is not on sale. They know it is the unit price that matters.

they are having dollar days at atlantic sobeys this week. they have Cavendish sweet potato fries, onion rings, potato wedges, and mixed vegatables for 1$. definitelty not worth it. they are so small I had to buy 5 bags of the wedges to be comparable to 1 bag that would sell for 2$-2.50$. I got them free with coupons which is the only reason we got them at all but I would have walked away if i was paying out of pocket. I know they will obviously not be making that a regular size (one of those small promo sizes they only make for special sales) but i was so disappointed to see it as every other time they've had a similar dollar days special size it had at least 3 times more.
