good luck everyone!
just a quick note to say it's great to be back on SC! My coupon binder is empty, but I haven't yet cut up the Smartsource, Red Plum and P&G inserts. Still no where near what I used to have a year ago so I've got some work to do. I did however sign up for the Glucerna club for coupies on that, noting to call Chapmans in January, will call J& J tomorrow and cashed out $10 in swagbucks towards a Cara e-gc! Also sent off a holiday card for the SC exchange, haven't done one in a while. Will take some time to build up enough of a stash to trade or ride trains but I'm looking forward to it when the time comes. So much to see and do on SC! Slowly getting back into it and loving every minute!
why is it SO easy to buy things while I sit at the computer!!? Everything looks like a deal but sometimes after adding it all up I cry!
just lost power for a little bit
Watching DWTS Finale..rooting for Alfonso or Sadie!
That happened to us last winter. Lost power for 12 hours. Thankfully we have a woodstove BUT it did make figuring out a birthday present for DH easy - a generator big enough for all the basics (lights, heat, fridge, etc).
Scary to be without heat in the winter! Sneha - I hope it's not too cold there and that your power stays on.

i admit we're kinda spoiled where we're at... when the power went out last year for about 2ish hours everyone complained that it was too cold (i'll admit i complained too) it was the first time power went out in years.. it seems we hit a cold snap that day and people turning on their heat overwhelmed the system lol
Kind of freaked me out but good thing it was just for a little bit. Reminds us to have all the emergency candles, flash lights and all ready. We lost power last year too with that horrible winter. Let's hope this winter is better. Don't want to go through what Buffalo, New York did.
Those in warmer countries are lucky they don't have all this cold to worry about if they lose power.
Sneha, glad it was just a blip.
Last winter, on a -35 evening, we were without power for five and a half hours - it was absolutely fricken' bizarre. We had only moved recently, but luckily knew where flashlights and candles were.
I've never been so cold in a house EVER.
This evening, cruising for recipes - on FB and elsewhere.
WOB, I started a cart at WM, but abandoned it, lol!

oh yes having candles on hand is helpful.. i remember i ended up pulling out my fancy febreze candles because it was all i had and flash lights and set up the kidlets fairy lights what are LED's which lit up the whole livingroom the only annoying part is our floor is cement above the parking garage so it gets cold quick but we snuggled on the couch and drained the battery on the laptop watching a movie
