yes, I can spot them
the person sometime has body language suggesting that they are not telling the whole truth
if you ask for more details they get flustered and you can tell they are making the story as they speak
The cheque is in the mail
I love you
I promise not to....we will leave this one alone
How are you? Fine :P
- I'm so happy for you!
- We'd love to come.
- I don't mind.
- No, I hadn't heard that about xyz.
I *may* have called in sick when I wasn't... but, to be honest, I was battling a major bout of depression that day and I just couldn't do it :(
Yes, I can spot them. I hate lies. As for a white lie, I'll understand and forgive them.
When a person tells a lie, his body language and his eyes will sell himself.
You look great.
I say it all the time. Sounds bad but it is the most common white lie I tell.
Unfortunately, I'm definitely guilty of telling these from time to time.
"No I won't be able to come, sorry I have another commitment."
