Price Coupons?
Hi, just starting to pay attention to coupons for good sales but one question that boggles the mind.........most you need to print out. Doesnt that cost you more sometimes than the coupon is worth?
Ive never been one much to use a printer at home but remember one time reading that it costs about $1 in color ink to print a photo. So assuming that it would be roughly the same for a coupon with color.
If so, are you all really printing them out? Or what am I missing? :)
Last but not least, I see some sites that just let you take a photo of the coupon on your phone. I sooo much prefer that option.
Are there many like that or are they still in the minority?
Thanks

The cost depends on the ink cartridge or toner your printer uses. But I always set mine to default print in black and white because it's much cheaper and I've never had a store refuse my coupon because it was in black and white. I also know the number of coupons that print on a page (3 for smartsource), so I try to print coupons in multiples of 3 to not waste paper. According to this (American) website, the average cost per page is 4-5 cents for black and white (source: http://www.pcworld.com/article/16895..._from_you.html).
I don't know of sites that allow you to take a photo of a coupon. Are you thinking of the ones where you take a photo of receipt like Checkout 51?
