Thread: RBC prepaid visa

RBC has a deal going on right now. If you make an appointment with a rep at RBC take in your banking statement from your own bank they try to convince you that you are paying too high in bank fees and theirs is lower. Well my mom is a senior she gets almost everything for free and I am with Presidents Choice. These can't be beat because they are free. You do not by any means have to go with them no strings attached. So we both came out with a $50 prepaid Visa card. $100 in 45 minutes!! He was extremely nice. I showed him all of my deals as I take pictures of the hauls I get!! He was writing down info. We had him in stitches. It was so much fun. Btw I got my turkey at No Frills price matching with Walmart. $30 Turkey for $10.55!! So happy. Going to get another one. Thank you for mentioning it on here.

Frugal Gal that was 45 minutes well spent! I am laughing that you and your Mom were teaching a banker how to best save money!!

I used the pc app on my iPhone. Just your chequing and savings accounts. Takes about half hour to maybe an hour but probably not. I think we talked longer about my couponing then the bank. My mom was in with me too to do hers. We went in about 1 and where out about 1:45 and that is two of us plus he went to get the visas and activate them. Worth it.
