... We also saw about 6 other families/individuals handing out baked goods, gift bags and gift baskets (ours weren't that elaborate) since it was Christmas Day. It was nice to see so many people taking time out of their day. ...

I'm sure you've inspired many people reading your post. We need to remember that people are homeless throughout the year. A wonderful and kind gesture like this would be fantastic during the cold days of January and February as well, or any time actually, not only on Christmas day.

Thanks! Absolutely, I agree that is why I am also in the midst of building a food bank stockpile to donate throughout the entire year. I hope to donate the first batch of food/personal items in February to my local food bank. Of course I'm using my couponing to help make it happen. So for me, it will be a year filled of giving back.

Just catching up and I am very touched by your kind,thoughtful,generous gesture on Christmas Day !! I didn't realize so many homeless people in the street....now that the weather is in -20 do they have a shelter that they can go ?
