Regarding Shoppers and combining a 20X day and personal offers for points I will not combine them, I have not received my points several times so I just do one or the other, it isn't worth losing a 20x shop to get 800 points on milk, I know some people it works for but it doesn't for me.
For some reason it doesn't work for me either. And when I called Shoppers they were very firm in not giving any points.

As the roads and weather were icky we stayed home, sadly that meant I didn't get my re-use it centre fix .

I took down the decorations from the china hutch and the arch that separates the dinning-room & living room and also took the decorations off the mantle, they are all boxed up and PROPERLY & CLEARLY labelled for this Christmas .

I plan on taking the decorations off the Christmas tree tomorrow when dh is having his afternoon nap

I have a few things planned for tomorrow but I will need dh's help so we'll see what tomorrow brings

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening and great day tomorrow.

Another oldie here, I'm 53 and 11/12! For our birthday cakes, it was a nickel wrapped in wax paper for birthdays.

I know what Epiphany cake (Three Kings cake) is and the traditions; it's usually a cake with candied fruit in it.

In our tradition (Ukrainian Catholic), we have the blessing of water on the eve of Epiphany, then on Epiphany have similar foods to what we would have on Christmas.

Well, our son just left - he was here for supper and a visit. Had a huge meal, gave him lots to take home, plus some groceries, sweets, etc. He's got a week of holidays this week, which he much deserves. My husband is also off for this week. Lucky me! I don't know what I'll do with myself once he's back to work! Plus, he's so relaxed and wonderful!

well.. thought i'd pop in tonite and ask for some luck.
i've been applying on line like crazy.
plus tomorrow im applying in person to a job. i qualify minus one hitch. so going tomorrow with a positive attitude to see if i still qualify despite that hitch.
then .. shh. im popping over to michaels, to see if i can get a little tree. cheap.
plus investing in some crocheting tools/yarn. looking forward to beginning this new talent. its quite invested in our family. so hoping i can catch on too.
not looking forward to being out and about in the cold. so i'll be bundling up for sure.

Nice article for our group-you can subscribe to this online newsletter for free and there are always interesting things to read. For those who are out of work at the moment you may not yet be able to save but hopefully in the future.

    Good morning, everyone.

Well, yesterday was a bust. I made the mistake of trying to match Lily dog's enthusiasm in playing tag & spent the rest of the day trying to recover. When will I learn that I'm not 20 anymore? At least the batter is all ready for the cookies, I just need to bake them at some point. Also have to make it down to the post office (I ordered something just before Xmas and it arrived an hour before I got home Friday afternoon ). We'll see what else the day holds. More playtime, I suspect, but not til after a few chores are completed.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

    Hi, everyone!

Today's a stay in, stay warm, and clean up kinda day.
Warmer than yesterday, but still mega-frigid.
