This afternoon on my way home from work, I saw a truck stopped at a notorious bad intersection in the city and thought to myself, I better slow down because I bet he won't see me. Speed limit was only 50 kmh. Sure enough he pulls out just before I hit him. BUT instead of hitting him, I hit my brakes, released my brakes, and steered to where I wanted to go so I was able to swerve around him. For those of you who watch Canada's Worst Driver, that's exactly what they teach!!!! I was so proud of myself that no damage was done to anyone's vehicle or anybody as I was surely going to T-bone him.
When I told my husband about this story he asked if I swore and I said I didn't (which was a shock!) because I had to quickly avoid the truck. I wasn't even angry at the driver! Maybe this is a sign that 2015 will be a good year. Hope so! Happy New Year everyone! This thread is currently associated with: N/ASMILE - and make the world a better place

Weekend weather slop that is due in Ontario is going to test all drivers! OP, you did SWELL! Now, if we could all go to BMW's winter driving school in Quebec this month, we could learn some more driving techniques!
BTW, who won the prize via Canada's Worst Driver contest?2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
