Target leaving Canada!

Question (since I never paid attention before) - was Market Pantry food always so much cheaper than other brands? Like big cereal boxes were $2.50 today... Are they clearing out Target brand or is that normal? I shop/coupon a lot for donations, and I'll stock up if those are good deals. Thanks!

Agreed with couponkrystal--I've also found Market Pantry to be a bargain, and I've been happy with the product, too (although I have only tried a handful of MP items).

From my understanding from the local manager - there will be no coupons, no price matches and no returns allowed once liquidation starts.

Sign them both to save lots of jobs (and not to mention competition) in Canada! Did you know there are strong rumours (link: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/376460-...s-canada-343/) that Walmart is planning to raise prices of merchandise by 10-30% when Target leaves?! Do you want that kind of monopoly?! If not, sign the two petitions!!!

FYI: I have been visiting the Kingston Target as it is one of my favourite stores to go to and they seem to be getting tons of merchandise. Over flowing with stuff especially since their shelves were always full!!

Nice thought, but Target would keep losing money in Canada for the next 6 years. Do you think a petition will make them change their minds?. People need to spend money at stores to keep them open.

I know this is a Target thread, but considering the deals are slim pickings before Thursday, I figured I'd share a Wal-Mart deal I found. (No I am not a trader, Target is still #1!!!!!!!) Pretty much Wal-Marts entire Shampoo aisle was in severe clearance yesterday at the one I went to.

Picked up these babies for 1$ each.

The past 10 posts or so have not been relevant. I have not been seeing people post the deals they have found at Target on here either. All you've been talking about is Target advertising, 'black friday' and how scanners haven't been working. So, let's be honest, no one is currently sticking to the "RED STICKER discussion".
