My husband can join your rat patrol as an honorary member with pellet gun. lol. Only rat I have ever seen is the one I dissected in Grade 12 biology.
On an unrelated note, all 3 programs I watch ended in a death this week. Happy Valentines...you know, a little depressing...all 3!"There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Good morning, everyone.
Happy Valentine's Day! I'll have to spend the day hugging the short one aka my purring teddy bear. The tall one isn't into any mushy stuff...unless it comes with a bribe.
Yesterday was interesting, must have been Friday the 13th. A friend came over for a visit and offered to drive me to the grocery store. All went well, until the car battery decided to go on holiday. 1.5hrs later, CAA showed up to help. Lily dog was thrilled that our company decided to stay. Quincy cat was annoyed that even after donning shoes and jacket, our company would not leave. Good thing there are lots of bribes, er, treats around to soothe hard feelings.
Today is going to be a busy baking day. Have to make a double batch of Valentines canine cookies for neighbours and friends, then Valentines human cookies for their, ahem, humans.
Should be fun trying to mix up the batter with Mr I-love-you-when-will-you-feed-me in my lap and Ms I'm-here-ready-to-lick-the-spoon-and-bowl-now stepping on my foot to remind me just how eager she is to help.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

CONGRATULATIONS Mrs Sunshine and son!!!
Frugal day here, I have had 5 no spend days this week. Will have to buy some fruit today at No Frills.
My son got up this morning and made his girlfriend giant heart shaped chocolate chip skor cookies for Valentine"s Day.Thought that was so cute!! I dug up some red cellophane bags to package them in with lots of red and white ribbon!!
Husband and I are going to do something this afternoon together and have a nice supper at home, quiet day but exactly what I feel like doing.

We went to CT this morning to get a few things and use CT credit card for 20 x the points extra today only. Had been eying up the outdoor rugs on clearance. Bought one today's for $40 ( reg $109.99)
. Will make a nice seating area for us
. Then went to superstore for tax free day. Bought lots of school snacks for kids ( hid most of it!) and some other specials. Nice huge cantalope for .99. Asparagus for $1.99lb. Etc. Brought home a nice haul for $32

Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend and Happy Valentine's day to all
I am preparing a superb meal for tonight......
garlic shrimp (pulled shrimp from freezer)
pulled spinach from freezer
rice as a side dish
made brownies and apple crisp pie for desserts will serve with vanilla ice cream (drool).
Dh offered to take me out for dinner but I prefer eating at home and well we didn't budget for a dinner out BUT I'm honestly not disappointed as I prefer eating at home BUT I won't lie I do like take out at home (lol).
We are going to rent a movie off the satellite dish Ouija is dh's choice, I don't care as I can't sit still.
I need to get creative and come up with my meal plan for the rest of the month2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

DH & the youngest are off to a game. So dinner was Pizza (takeout) and the 1st take out in months with a valentines brownie made from a mix I bought last summer in the US for 65 cents. Best before date of Mar/2015.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
