Good Afternoon everyone! My morning was spent puttering, doing laundry etc, made a delicious curry lentil soup for supper and it is simmering on the stove, will move to the slow cooker so it stays warm for the boys as I am working this evening. Will make spinach orange salad to go with the soup.
shouldn't need to shop this week at all until Sunday or Monday and that will just be fruit and veggie stock up.
I found out I could get travel health insurance so we are off to Maui for two weeks in May, this is a conference with my husbands work so all expenses are paid, we are so grateful for this as they send us some place amazing every two years and usually a Canadian destination every other year so our vacation fund is minimal, we do have a cabin where we spend other vacation time so I suppose our taxes should be part of our vacation fund!!
It feels like spring cleaning is around the corner for me, we had some nice days where I opened the windows for a few hours last week and we are going above zero a few days this week. Going to try to be better organized than last year, a few things didn't get done. I am tempted to look a the seed websites and order a few packs!

I've been dreaming about arena poutine all day (I think because we are playing at the arena that has the best poutine) I think it explains why I only had a small bite at lunch and didn't pick up an afternoon coffee. (to save my calories!!)

Town is still on strike so hockey is not happening...as is curling. Luckily the library is NOT town run so its still open.
Meal plan so far this week...was eat at home and dont go grocery shopping. however thats being broken already as...i want egg noodles and bf happened to use them all up a couple weeks ago and NOT tell me!
So tonight will be grabbing some egg noddles and mushroom soup to make a goolash out of our leftover roast pork.
No boys this week so we're just feeding us.
filed our income taxes last week so we'll see when they get assessed. I ordered 200 dollars worth of wool to make more blankets to sell. The one i started in YK (and sold before finishing) is nearly done. I have enough at home to do the blanket for Bf's mom for Christmas now.
Myname suggestion for the month is.. March to the Frugal Beat

decided to brave the cold and ran to the store. grabbed some Grf/prk while its on sale to make some meatballs.
plus some lunch items for ds and i for thursday.
finished my sons blanket a little disappointed. need to finish the border, then i'll post pics.
we're not supposed to get 'balmy' until this weekend -2 lol
we have a lot of snow to watch melt. not looking forward to that as we always end up with a 'lake' along our sidewalk and everyone ends up walking ON our lawn. dh's says he's putting up a fence this year to stop that. we invested about a $100 to redo our lawn, down to dirt then adding sod, watering for hours last summer. 3x we've done that in 10 years. no way in hell is anyone destroying it again.Be Strong
Be True
Be You.
Simple as that!

originally posted by another scer @Tommycoupons , here's the link
have a small chat with BMO and receive a $10 e-card for your time to starbucks
http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/399855-...a/#post6310233
now here's my silly question, could you redeem an e-card for a gc, just curious thinking of Christmas, end of school year gifts, etc...lol don't judge me (lol)
EDIT: Tommycoupons also said that if you have a starbucks gc you can transfer the e-card to your existing card.
However, I still wonder if you can get a gc with the e-card, does anyone know as swagbucks also offers e-cards but can they be redeemed for actual gcs?Last edited by jasperandchar; Tue, Feb 17th, 2015 at 06:56 PM.

I was surprised. I started it during the hockey tournament and on the 3rd day I was chatting with a group of the moms from Yellowknife and knitting at the same time. They were commenting how nice it was and asked how soft etc. their game ended and they went to ge ttheir kids our game started and about half way through one of the ladies came back and asked if I'd be willing to sell it. I said yes and said normally they take me about 4 weeks to complete and she was perfectly fine with that - even paid me for it and shipping.

Geez. 10:15 and I haven't had a break all day. Should hit the hay and read for a bit. Gotta stop surfing the net.
