Thanks for the feedback about the tablet. I only have a desktop and can`t spend too much time on it because I need to keep my feet up. I have it plugged in to charge now...it`s taking forever. 3% in over 2 hours. Is this normal?

No, that's not normal to charge. Mine goes from like 20% to 100% well within an hour - I've never timed it though.
I have a Nexus 7, 2nd gen, 32gb

Husband's gone, just had supper (fish and potatoes) - cats are sleeping (thank goodness), now I can do some catching up on here.

No I think that's a really long time, perhaps the battery is no good, how old is the tablet?

I use a 1st generation iPad, I bought it for DH the day iPad was released,the battery life is sketchy and I have to turn it off to get it to charge quickly. But I do love the freedom of it. DH has a newer one that he won at work. It took me awhile to embrace it, but now i can spend hours playing solitaire.

They said it normally charges in a couple hours. I turned it off completely to see if that would speed things up. Not sure where it is now but it`s letting me play Peggle Blast.

spent the day with dh and ds, getting him ready for monday, new boots, insoles and back support plus some ginger gravol and eggo waffles to get through the morning. were praying his company covers all the cost of the boots.

now home relaxing watching survivor (on ROD)
i didn't get a chance to take a pic, tomorrow i will, promise. it had to do with today, i'll share tomorrow.

my kids are my gremlins i swear. don't leave anything out.. lol

Had my eye injection this morning. Eye was worse than it`s ever been so I`m back to the 3 months of injections to get it stabilized and hope I can go back to 2 month maintenance. Dr. was surprised I could see as well as I did considering the condition of the eye.

Sorry to hear this, Crochetlady! As dh says - let's handle one thing at a time! It's a pity that the drug you had to take caused a delay with your eyecare. Take care!

I don`t have a set budget for groceries. We have a fixed income so after regular bills are paid the rest can be used for whatever.

Did anyone else see a huge increase in their Hydro bill this month? Ours went from under $150 to $212 this month.

Yikes! It HAS been cold! But that's a huge increase. I was actually trying to compare our bill from last Jan./Feb. but we were in a totally different house and it was warmer last year. We're now in a rowhouse with only 2 outside walls but we have switched to an electric water heater - long story - so I then tried comparing this month with a month before we had the electric waterheater - I finally gave up and just paid the bill! My brain has better things to do!

HOLY MOLY! Were you raised up north? I certainly couldn't live there- I'm just a woosy at heart. The farthest north that I've lived is Sudbury and only for about a year and a half. I admire you. These financial expenses are incredible!

I was raised in "northern" saskatchewan which really isnt all that north
