@Crochetlady : sorry to hear that your eye has gotten worse. Hopefully the more frequent injections will help.

I don`t have a set budget for groceries. We have a fixed income so after regular bills are paid the rest can be used for whatever.

Did anyone else see a huge increase in their Hydro bill this month? Ours went from under $150 to $212 this month.
ROMEO, avoncallingu, Ciel and 3 others like this.

Dog has his own budget line to cover food, vet, grooming.
    Groceries are just food
H & B is a very small amount as we have such a stockpile.
Cleaning and TP are also separated from food, these often have good coupons so I can keep the spend low in this area.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Ours went from $115 for Dec to $172 for Jan

We have to have heater coils on our roof to prevent ice damming so that accounts for at least $30 but $172 is still the highest hydro bill we've ever gotten

I try to be super cautious about our hydro usage but DH not so much. He tends to run the dishwasher no matter what time of day. I have to go around switching lights off, turning the thermostat down (he will randomly up the thermostat). I'll even take dishes out of the dishwasher and wash them by hand. It can be very frustrating lol

my hydro increased $30.00 for January but I blame the dehumidifier, I sure hope the energy board does not approve the delivery fee increase, that's what killing the pocket books not the actual usage (just my 2 cents)

Jessa & Ben are on the cover of some magazine, they say they will be adopting but it looks like she's put on a few pounds perhaps just like the rest of us married folks (lol) but people are assuming she's expecting.

@bobbiegirl2010 if I had unlimited bandwith internet I would get rid of satellite but at this point it's not an option with our current internet provider, we don't have many options living in the boonies, as it is we have to be cautious that we don't go over our allotted 50gb a month

@jasperandchar Yes I don't think we would have cancelled cable if it weren't for having unlimited internet. We pay for Netflix but I miss my fav reality shows.

Since I've been missing the Duggars I've been reading up on the Duggar Gossip lol. There's also rumours that Jessa may be rebelling against her parents and is on birth control hmmmm....

    Meds are not grocery

Febreeze is not grocery. Cleaning products from home hardware are nkt grocery.
