I have never had a scop. Last week in fco the wrong prices were in the wrong location. The salmon was marked down but it was actually vh sauce on the ticket..didn't know if that counted

Actually its not that hard , if you go early on the day the new flyer starts , you will see lazy staff, who still haven't removed most of the sale signs from the flyer which just got over on the previous day.

usually you will see professional SCOP shoppers on a early Friday..flyer change for most stores.

Not so much lazy staff......each day there can be hundreds of price changes, it's a matter of getting to them all and getting those signs/labels changed.

i've heard of people doing this at the 24hr shoppers location.. go early early in the morning before the store has a chance to take old signage down and put new signage up

Here in Quebec, the SCOP is a law and loblaws cashiers still give me attitude. Some people can't stand that you are getting things free.

(I assume maybe because of SCOP issues?) I didn't have time to go and see if the scanners were still installed. Anyone else notice price scanners missing at Walmart?
You're right, I've noticed this too. My Walmart still has one or two scanners but they're both on the grocery side of the store. I don't grocery shop there but I do stop in occasionally for shampoo and whatnot. If I find something that I want to scan I have to go on a hunting expedition to find the damn things. There is one in toys but it never works. So annoying. But I noticed this with my RCSS also - they used to have three or four scanners and suddenly they have none.

Please don't call staff lazy. It's a lot of work to remove thousands of tags in a timely manner. Sometimes a few get missed. Certainly doesn't mean the staff are lazy.

An incredibly ignorant statement. The LAZY part. Signing a flyer is a huge undertaking if you have any idea. And no matter how hard you look things will be missed.

I have to see if my local store has changed their scanner positions or removed them. They are all in the non-grocery areas-if one is willing to take items to womenswear (plus section), that is the closest scanner to the produce and first three grocery aisles.

Some seem to take it personal if we get scop. RCSS in my city is the worse, they actually make up stories. Recently I had a scop refused because the "system won't recognise the true price and they haven't had time to put a sign up yet, so it doesn't qualify for scop" I just stood quietly for 5-10 minutes and then she entered the $10 reduction. Maybe its time to start carrying a copy of the policy. I totally understand understaffed stores not getting the signs changed. I don't understand why cashiers/csms dishonor themselves in an attempt to earn an employer who doesn't care about them a few dollars.

I am shocked by many of your forum posts. When you're not busy dissing food banks, you're attacking "lazy" staff. Your statements are ignorant and defamatory. A lot of the staff members whom you call "lazy" work really hard....harder than most of us, in fact. Do you have any idea how hard it is to change those labels? And there is always a possibility that some of them are going to be missed. That's hardly an indicator of "lazy staff". No one's perfect. But I'm sure you knew that.

At Walmart, NO staff member wants signs to be incorrect --- it all hurts when it comes time for profit-sharing since it goes against the store's profit.
