Maybe she's homeschooling them because she chooses not to vaccinate and in the "land of the free" in some states children are not permitted to go to school unless vaccinated. I won't get into what a ridiculous and barbaric law that is but maybe that's why. And if it is, more power to her.

**Actually, after reading over your post again, it is a very likely situation. It is common for families who have special needs children, if vaccine injury is suspected, to stop vaccinating future children and the children who they suspect have already been injured.

It's not easy to care for children with special needs, especially when you don't have the resources to bring in special tutors and helpers. It sounds like since she's only a friend of a friend and that you don't know her very well. Hopefully the picture you're painting isn't the whole situation because the children definitely deserve a proper education (homeschooled or not).

If this is the situation that I am suspecting, maybe moving to a different state would be a better option for her family.

Vaccine injury is not suspected. Her children both have the same medical issues that were evident before birth.
