Hi Everyone,

I'm new to coupon saving and new to this site. It's a little overwhelming but I am sure I'll get the hang of it soon. I'm in my early 40s, married with a boy and a girl. I have great respect for mother-in-law who is the queen of sewing, cooking, baking, canning and of course, saving money. I don't know a thing about sewing or canning but I'm sure I can manage being frugal. This would be a real 360 for me as I usually don't bother with coupons.

Greetings all. I am a married mom of 1 - 8 year old video game fanatic, 2 chinese pugs, a salamander, a nefarious black cat and a variety of dust bunnies too numerous to count. I live in Devon, Alberta, 20 minutes outside of Edmonton and found that this summer's exorbinant fuel prices drove me to cash in all my loyalty points to pay for fuel on my families' camping holiday to Jasper. I'm now doing my best with a cheque sized accordian file I purchased from Staples, to clip coupons as they arrive and file them, then pull them out to go grocery shopping. In September I adopted Gail Vaz-Oxlade's system of jars for the household budget and it has been challenging to say the least. All in all though, it is good to know that there are people that have been at this longer than me and know all the hot deals to go after. I also work full time AND own my own invitation business (thus the dust bunnies). I also am the President of our local Chamber of Commerce and with the economic downturn, am looking for ways to add value and strength to my local micro-economy. Needless to say, if time is money, I don't seem to have much of either! I look forward to your continued communication to save us all money!
