Mrs_Micky - No, I'm actually in the entertainment industry (movies), however, through constant networking and just social events, I've made several friends who work in the beauty industry, like photographers, makeup artists, cosmeticians, etc.

At first the blog was just a fun thing for me to do since I found that the best place to get info about good products wasn't through beauty magazines or websites, but through my friends who are "real" and aren't being paid to say only good things. So I started the blog to share my own thoughts about products I've tried and ask my readers to send in their reviews and post comments so that other readers can make informed buying decisions based on unbiased opinions. I pay for 99% of the products I test so I'm definitely not going to say something nice if I don't like the products!
