Hello.

My name is Laurence, male Age 24 and currently in school...still. In georgebrown college for computer programming.

I been actually following this site for one year now, never really sign up until now. All I just wanted was to find good deals, and price matching. But now after I want to take the next step forward and start couponing. It's a big step imo. A lot of responsibilities becoming a couponer.

The biggest discouraged for me is as I'm a guy and making people angry with all my coupons, but now it's time to get out of that shell. And learn something I really want to do.

Question: Any good guide on how to become an efficient couponer and tips to lower the mistakes of a beginner couponer.

Hi all,

I am not exactly new, been here a while - but I don't think I ever posted an introduction! I am a married 28 year old, mother to a 7 year old boy and a 3 month old girl. Was on maternity leave, and got back into couponing as I had more time on my hands, but now returning back to work rather suddenly due to my husband unexpectedly being laid off. This is the third lay-off between us in less than three years, plus my maternity leave. The first two lay-offs were from jobs we had been employed at for ten years and five years each - so in this economy, no one is safe. I must say, I am glad I started couponing when I did, as we are well stocked for food, if nothing else! We are from small-town Nova Scotia, and the job market in Atlantic Canada is pretty awful at the moment - so couponing can go a long way to help families in tough situations like this. I have enjoyed reading this site for a couple of years now, and have gotten some great tips not only on couponing, but on frugal living in general!

Looking forward to participating more in discussions as time allows now that I will be back to work full time! I am amazed at what some folks on here manage to achieve! I also run a small local group (about 70 members) on Facebook for friends and family in my hometown and my husband's hometown, to monitor flyer deals, new coupons out, and provide tips and hints.
