I took my 12hr bloodthinners dose. This makes it so that I am "safe" for the night. I have been off it for over 24hrs, so this starts the clock over again. Nothing has progressed today, I'm disappointed but not that surprised. I was in early labour with LO for days before it kicked into active labour and he was born about 12hrs later.

Unfortunately they will come when they want to. They have to have a little chit chat to decide when it's time to make Mom and Dad really happy. Usually later than sooner.:lolsign:

Sending patience, perseverance and strength at this moment. No need to reply. Just thinking of you, wishing I lived closer!

We have been discussing it for quite a while. I signed paperwork 3hrs ago to start some Pitocin to make these contractions productive. Dh & I think Pitocin is the less risky approach out of the 4 ways of medically encouraging things along. They had a room for me in the labour ward, but gave it to a sick pregnant woman. They now have another room for me, but no nurse. My latest 12hr dose of Bloodthinners expires at 7pm. When they checked yesterday I was 4cm & 75% affaced. Looks like the twins will probably be born tomorrow.

Hoping you are okay and that things are going well.
I didn't know before I was put on pitocin that contractions were so much stronger than natural ones, the latter of which ebb and flow. I'm sure you will do great!
xxooxx :flowers:

I am so excited for you!! wishing you a safe delivery.
I cannot wait to check this post again tomorrow and hopefully the two little munchkins will have arrived - I am looking forward to seeing their pic!! another wonderful addition to the SC family :)

You'll do great! My first labour was augmented in the same manner. Since you are already dilated the pitocin will work with your body. I hope all goes/went well.
BTW updating us at 4 cm...wow had stopped my updates at that point in pain. You are a trooper.

Last night was messed up, so I didn't get into the labour & delivery room until about 10am. Started Pitocin at 11am & must stay in bed with multiple monitors. Contractions are happening, but nothing too strong yet, easy to breathe through them but quickly picking up steam. Hurts my tailbone to be in this position. Trying to rest some before things get too strong.

WOW, the journey is almost over. I hope you have a good delivery and please send some pics when you are felling up to it.

I do not plan on posting details and pictures until we are home in Estevan.
However, I did deliver them both vaginally, head first, without any form of pain medication.
Eli weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces, 18.5 inches long. Born July 31, 10:45pm.
Lilly weighs 5 pounds 9.5 ounces, 19 inches long. Born July 31, 10:52pm.
