Canadians to get money back for overpriced electronics as part of $80M class-action settlement

Dynamic random access memory (DRAM) is a form of computer memory that is contained in computers and many other electronic devices.
You (individuals, businesses and governmental entities) can get money from the settlements if you bought DRAM or electronic devices containing DRAM between April 1, 1999 and June 30, 2002. Products that qualify include:

    • computers (laptops or desktops)
    • printers
    • memory modules
    • graphics cards
    • video game consoles
    • DVD players

    • personal digital assistants (PDAs)
    • MP3 players
    • personal video recorder (PVR)/TiVo/digital video recorders
    • servers
    • computer based point of sale systems
    • all other products that contain DRAM

Purchased between 1999 and 2002...I am sure that all of the devices that I bought that contained DRAM have been considered obsolete by now! More than thirteen years ago. Technology has changed so much.
I will check my records, but I will only follow up, if I can find any evidence that I purchased items during this time frame.

One example, if you attended secondary or post secondary school where your tuition paid included use of computer technology and printers at a public university (government entity), you would have used your tuition to purchase DRAM.

    Canadian DRAM Class Action

Did you purchase an electronic device with DRAM between 1999 and 2002?

$80M for almost all Canadians b/c we paid too much for electronics btw 1999 & 2002. Get your $ back here

How do I apply for money?

You can apply for money by completing an online form.
The simplified claim takes less than 3 minutes to complete!
You must complete the form by June 23, 2015

Everyone who qualifies will receive at least $20, and possibly more depending on the quantity of electronic devices containing DRAM purchased.

If you bought DRAM or electronic devices containing DRAM for manufacturing purposes, resale or purposes other than personal use, you may receive much more depending on the amount you purchased and your position in the distribution chain.

If its one of those store receipts , they are all evaporated by now ..especially the ones with thermal paper ..you will probably have a blank paper by now.

I once had a 2 year old Future Shop receipt I could barely read anything on it , it was all faded away..so these days I kind of scan some imp. receipts and keep them in my email

I thought no receipt is necessary , maybe for more claims than one they probably need receipts

It's a receipt that's stapled with another receipt printed on the regular invoice page, I can still see the information but I don't need it as I did the calculation on their website for the computer, the printer and the mp3 player and the total still comes up to $20.00. The only people who are going to get more than $20.00 are those who have bought like 5 or more computers
