Our hydro bill is insane! Thanks to some of the others who have commented that theirs are high too or I would have thought there was a door open somewhere! I've kept records of what we've been paying since 2010 (when we moved in). In 2010, our February bill was $134. In 2011, our February bill was $112. In 2012, our bill was $106. $128 for 2013 and $156 for 2014. Our bill was $190 this year! Since when did we move to the dark side of the moon?!

I'm glad our mouse has evaded DH so far. I feel terrible for the poor thing. It ate the food from both traps and escaped relatively unscathed, except maybe for missing some hair from his bottom. Some got caught on DH's sticky trap. I think it's days are numbered though.

LO needs new clothes again. She's taller than some of the kids who are older than she is and I feel that she outgrows the labels on her clothes by about two months. I've had to put away some of her coats because it hurts her to get into them. I'm dreading having to buy a snowsuit for the few weeks that they take her out in daycare. Come on, spring!

Goals for this month (so far): complete taxes for DH and I! First step, track down all paperwork.

Yes, Sweet Sparrow - this year has been a doozy heat/hydro-wise. As for the snowsuit - I used to notice how bedraggled the kids' outerwear would be at this time of year when I was a teacher - plus the fact that if they hit a growth-spurt - they would complain that their boots hurt them.

How about a Value Village run? I think they are having a 50% off this Monday - and if you have a "Member Card" - which you just have to fill in at the cash - you get the 50% off on Sunday too. Maybe just to get your LO through the next few cold days until it will be ......SPRING COATS !!

For us because my DH was off on LTD (non-taxable benefit) for most of last year our combined income was significantly less than the year before (or any year since we've been together for that matter). Could have used this extra money last summer when we really needed it but heck I'll still take it :)

Thank you for the tip! We have a spring coat for LO that will fit from a friend. She gave us such a large collection that I have no idea how it will all fit in the car to give it back to her. LO just has to wait until we go from super cold to moderately cold before she can wear it. She has puffy vests also, but she won't fit in the car seat with puffy vest + spring coat.

Yesterday, I had to retire her indoor sweater. Another one for the return pile. It seems like she's growing out of something new each day! :eek:

I think I have all my paperwork for taxes and all the numbers have been put in. I just wonder if I've forgotten anything.

Anything else related to the LO? No children's fitness tax credit amounts so far.

DS was off to the dr's this morning, crossing my fingers they get something worked out. turns out he's already down in hours next week.
i guess with the cold it self explanatory, sure the hours will kick up soon.

it is bitter cold again. looking forward to next weeks' temps for sure.
saw a few things in the flyer. cream cheese, OMG.

finally got a good night sleep. felt good. have tons more energy today. will take advantage of the sunlight and the energy burst, get the house cleaned by lunch. enjoy the day to myself.

So glad today is Friday, it’s been such a long week and it’sstill cold.:eek: I have worked in the city everyday so that makes for long days& early mornings & I am not a fan of mornings. I had a another late night last night and DHfound a recipe on Budget Bytes. I can’t even tell you what is was but it wasyummy. It was a pasta with a cream cheese sauce. Which is funny as I wouldnever try to cook with cream cheese as he is not a fan. I love walking in thedoor past 7 to find dinner waiting.

Day 3 of weird dreams. This one was a bit more pleasant (at least for me, if not poor Lily). I dreamt that I had taught Lily dog to hold a tennis racket & she was happily knocking tennis balls back to me...until a puppy ran up to us & stole all the tennis balls. :-~

I wonder if maybe we need to play a bit more, to make up for the cold temps and sluggishness around here.

Have to actually cook for humans today, what a concept! Friends are stopping by tonight, so Lily dog will be thrilled to have company. Quincy cat will want them to leave...until he realizes that they have food and they might be willing to share. ;)
