Reference Info: Spend Your Points Events

i been awaiting TRYING for a tv for awhile! We only have a small one, it does the job though for now,lol. A spend your points event and a good deal would be good or atleast one on sale. debated when the rca 0" i think it was went on sale but i hesitated because i've known people who have gotten rcas and have broke plus wouldnt of had a ride that weekend :( Wish they carried smart tvs and different brands.Never know when they have what in either.

Yes, I did a 'regular' redemption, 95k for $170. Bought a tablet on sale for $229.99 (plus around 90c eco tax). I combined it with a personal offer of 18,500 wus $75, so had to spend an additional $15.01 for the offer. Used a FPC for a $16+ product. So out of pocket about $95 with taxes but earned enough points to get back $34 -$38 depending on when I redeem, i.e. for $170 or $200.

Just got tired of waiting for a bonus redemption. And often during bonus redemptions I find myself scrambling to find things to buy :) So if I can combine a regular redemption with a personal offer, especially if what i want is on sale, then I'll do it.

I found that whenever there was a bonus redemption that the sale items weren't that great. I base my redemption on the sales. (I tend to redeem for food/household stuff etc so can get lots when the price is right!)

Yes, I agree! The tablet was on sale for $50 off, so definitely better to grab it then than wait for a redemption when it was at regular price.

I redeemed my points for a go-pro, and only paid the tax!! I wrote about it on another SDM thread. It was on sale for $149.99 the same one was on Amazon for $259.00!!!!

For record keeping, I've updated the main post with the November 26-27, 2016 Redemption Plus event, SDM's new approach to redemption promotions. Let's hope it occurs more often...
