We went out grocery shopping today and when we were going by the protinis I noticed there was a tear pad of 1$ off protini coupons (expires May 31st). Now most of them were on sale for 4.49$ except for the mango protinis they were 1.99$ (this store only). I took 6 of the protini coupons (there was still over half a tear pad left. I did not clear the tear pad) and the last 5 mango protinis (family of 4 and we really do eat a lot of these. So please don't attack me for shelf clearing as 5 really isn't very much.)

5*(1.99$-1$ coupon)=4.95$ (or 0.99$ each)

It is dried mango... I think they also have skewers with mango sauce but I'm not a fan of the skewers. (Too much sauce and very little chicken)

I bought some Protinis a few months back as a deal to try. My nine year old DS took one bite and said no. I only barely like them, they're worth about a buck IMO. Good for you if you have family members who like them!

Ds2 and I both like them and eat them while dh is at work and ds1 is at school. Dh will eat them if we have them but won't actually buy them for himself, ds1 will eat them in a sandwich or wrap.

No they were not store specific and I had never seen these ones before... I think they are new as the picture shows the regular protinis and the protini skewers.

shelf clearing is when you buy a case+ worth of the product because it's on such a great sale.. to me it sounds like that flavor was on clearance (did you check the exp date?) personally if it's an item on clearance i think the "shelf clearing rules" don't apply it's a first come first serve basis
