That &)&@ cough of mine is making me put out of commission for a few days, it is a lot better tho :bawling::(
Must be the darned cold weather lately, that's why I wasn't on the boards for a little while
i had cough syrup, chicken noodle soup and natural cough remedies a lot better
aw, feel better soon! has it been cold and nasty in Vancouver these days? For some reason I thought you guys were having the mild weather.
Glad you are better - I find using a cool mist humidifier works wonders, too.
Plus tea with lemon and honey - uh, and something boozey if you want....
there is a nasty bug going around. It takes awhile to get rid of it.
My family has been fighting this cold going on 3 weeks now - argh!

Feel better soon! Get yourself some vitamin c tabs and double the dose (it is safe, trust me, done in numerous times lol) and get some raw honey. I survived the swine flu with nothing but vitamin c, orange juice, and raw honey :)

I don't have good news for you. This cough hangs on forever. A friend has had it since JANUARY!
To be perfectly honest.....1 1/2 months fir me....January to at least mid February...living on sleep only an at a time...I don't wish that on anyone! Nothing, no meds, fresh ginger tea, honey...nothing.Quote:

Mom had a winter cough that was Jan/Feb/early March. She's 1 week and half into the current round. The first few days are loudest.
I got her Werther's to help with soothing cough but she's finding lemon juice/honey and tea, marshmallow root tea helping to soften it. But she's also producing/sneezing and that has not resolved.
If she leans forward in a seated position, the coughing just keeps on and on. A remind to sit back helps to quell it.
I too have heard from other people that others they know have had weeks of coughing. There has to be an immunity issue behind this long period. I don't think Mom would drink Emergence C-it tastes like not too sweet orange juice.
I felt better already, I got well just a few days ago
