HRM residents can get discount at CN Tower
Halifax Regional Municipality residents are eligible for a discount at the CN Tower in Toronto this summer and fall, thanks to the city’s participation in the CN Tower Communities in Bloom program.
HRM residents can buy a total tower ticket (the CN Tower’s do-it-all ticket) for $25, including taxes, from now until Dec. 31, according to a press release. Regular price is $36.
The discount is being made available because the municipality was one of 14 communities across the country to plant a garden at the base of the CN Tower for Communities in Bloom.
After seeing the garden, visitors can explore all the tower has to offer, including rocketing to the top of the world in just 58 seconds in glass-fronted — and new glass-floor — elevators.
Breathtaking views are offered from three observation levels, including Sky Pod, the highest of them all, and the Glass Floor with its 342-metre view straight down to the ground.
To take advantage of the offer, proof of residency, such as a valid driver’s licence or bill, is required. Tickets must be purchased on site and only four can be bought at once.
The CN Tower is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification of civic areas. The group’s website says it has been in operation since 1995.This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by ilovemykids; Mon, Jul 28th, 2008 at 01:21 PM.
