Will quilify under both food or snacks. Read post #145 by @Silk Iused a Candy and Snack coupon last week I got bag of candy, chips, jam, and 3 packs of schneiders lunch meat and did get the Candy and Snacks 6000 pts credit
do the 6 x 710ml coke and pepsi work for food and snack? tia
Thanks for helping to spread the word, Poppy :)
Wow, I haven't had a 6k food/snacks/candy promo in a long time! What was the minimum spend for that for you? I think I used to get it for wus $20. I was getting 3k wus $10 for a long time but now it's more like 4k wus $20.
Silk
@Silk the off er I used was 6000 for $20 I dont get it as often as I used to cause I wast using it that much. I dont buy that much junk food anymore. On one of my cards that I dont use very much I usually still get the 3000 for $10 at least once a week. Probably trying to temp me into the store to spend my money.
And thank you for the snacks and candy tip. That would never have worked with the print coupons. My cashiers always added up how much junk food I had to make sure I could use the coupon.
Well now we have to educate the cashiers! But you think Optimum would do that <sigh> A couple of times when my offers didn't work the cashiers told me they thought it was because I was buying eggs and they don't count for the promo. Both cashiers are usually helpful so when I called Optimum and they assured me eggs were ok, it was just a glitch, I made a point of telling the cashiers.
And you're welcome for the info - glad some SCers are reading the post - but still seeing a lot of people on the forum who don't know about it.
I don't buy much junk food anymore either. So I try to go to an SDM where I can use the promo on butter, cheese, eggs, frozen veggies, nuts, etc. - the one near me is small and mostly has chips, cookies, and crackers.
Silk
The shrimp ring is a snack, it's ready to serve.
Bag of frozen shrimp is food.
Bag of ready to eat popcorn is snack.
Box of popcorn (to pop yourself) is a food.
Yeh, I know, the same analogy does not apply to everything.
Shoppers is just keeping us on our toes
@WINNIPEGZELDA after reading Silks post about speaking to a rep and being informed that all items apply to both coupons except for beverages do not aply to snacks and candy I decided to test it out.
I had a get 6000 pts when you spend $20 on snacks and candy
I do not have my receipt so prices are from memory
I purchased
2 chips at 2 for $2
bag of sour patch kis candy $2.99
jam $3.99
3 packs of schneiders natural selections $4.49
used 3 $2.50 off coupons
total came to somewhere around $14
and I got the 6000 pts for the snacks and candy coupon
jam is not a snack
schneiders natural selections is not a snack
So I am assuming that what the rep told Silk is true
Had a food and snack offer today, bought:
PC coffee ground coffee
Butter
Chips
Bear Paws
Christie Cookies
Eggs
12 pack of coke
And my coupon worked.
I remember reading many posts on whether milk is included/excluded in the food & snack offers (sounded like it depended on the province?). Never tested it out until last night...bought $3.99 milk, cream 2@$5, and Five Alive for $1.99 and got my 3K wus $10+
Does Ice Cream count for candy and snack or Food and snacks????
Thanks Anna:-)
