Shoppers Drug Mart: Food and Snacks VS Candy and Snacks - what items qualify???

Ok, I can happily say succeasI went shopping today, all ready for a silliness, (planning the post shop telephone call) and nothing. It worked. I got:
4 Coke at $3.49
ruffles multipack 2/$5.00
milk $4.27
i received
230 regular points
4000 food/snack offer
1170 Coke offer
5400 points total
AND now I made it to the 95,000 points level ($170). Now I start looking for a good price (I think I can price match) on a Samsung tab for my dh's Christmas! Yeh! I will be able to afford it this year.

I had a candy/snacks offer and bought 2 dozen eggs, a bag of frozen broccoli, and 2 tins of smoked mussels. Got my points at checkout, with no problems.

I know there will continue to be doubters, but thought I would share my experience

The shrimp ring is a snack, it's ready to serve.
Bag of frozen shrimp is food.

Bag of ready to eat popcorn is snack.
Box of popcorn (to pop yourself) is a food.

Yeh, I know, the same analogy does not apply to everything.

Shoppers is just keeping us on our toes

In my experience eggs would fall u derived food and snacks not candy and snacks

I don't think you can price match at Shoppers. Also electronics are usually final sale and you need to go through the manufacturer for warranty. Having said that I love the Canon printer that I used my points to purchase.

thanks for this info. I got two different answers at my local shoppers about price matching. One yes, and one noooo! When I finally left, the two cashiers were still arguing who was right. Oddly entertaining, but no definitive answer from those two.

Shoppers does not price match and never did I doubt they will change this policy any time soon.

I had a 4000 pts offer on candy and snacks and bought Klondike ice cream cones and bars and got the points. Almost 2 years to reply but hope this helps someone.

Spent $2.21. Got no points. Cancelled the order at self check out. Sent a message through PC Optimum. Missing points has been happening about every other week recently
