Expired on: Sat, May 23rd, 2015Yesterday I received a notice that a trader had not received my end of the trade. I rec'd hers a week after she sent.. we both sent at same time.. Which is 6 weeks ago.
At this point I had removed the messages regarding the trade and had no idea if/what we had traded even.. I checked her feedback and it showed I received hers.. Finally I went through my sent messages, saw that she had sent me 6 stamps so I mailed 6 back to her today.
This got me wondering though.. What is a realistic time frame to expect a trader to honor a trade.. if its within 2 weeks .. I could have sent more of the inserts.. 6 weeks later, these inserts are no longer relevant.. if it were coupons, they'd probably have expired..
I generally contact a trader around 7-10 days and ask to confirm when it was sent.. this reminds them if they haven't and gives them a heads up that there may be an issue.
The thought of people coming after 3 weeks ( without an heads up around the 10 day mark) and beyond makes me really uncomfortable.. anyone else feel this way? This thread is currently associated with: N/ABe sure to click like and post a brag if you get the deal.. I agree after two or three weeks max I will send a pm saying I haven't received. At which point we kind of say ok if not by next weekwhat are we honna do so we have a game pkan. It almost always show up the next day lol
In their defense I do so many trade s that if they dont message me to say theyve received or leave a rating I would never find the message. Lol
But when its stamps or a coupon you are really waiting for you anxiously wait for the mail lady.
That being said iwould have probably done the same as you and questioned the validity of the claim of havibg not received. The thing is you never know know with cp they seem to ruin all envies that are packed with inserts. Tape tape tape is the only way snd ensuring proper postage is all you can do.Last edited by Anna Michele; Sat, May 23rd, 2015 at 08:41 AM.

I usually wait around 10business for a trade sometimes longer depending if it's a holiday. Any longer I will usually send a message just to see what's going on.
Just an idea for those who make lots of trades who want to keep track.
When I am ready to send out a trade I will take a photo with my cell of the envelope with the address I put on it just to make sure if I have issues later I can double check if it's correct. When the trade is completed I delete all photos of the traded envelopes. For security my phone has a pin code needed to unlock it.
Step two
I will write the name of the user in my notepad application on my cell with the date. This makes it so much easier to find previous messages in your inbox incase you need to message the trader again or to easily find them to leave feedbackLast edited by mandy403; Sat, May 23rd, 2015 at 02:01 PM.

. I sent out about 60 trades that wknd.. all inserts.. I do use tape lol they seem to travel well.. I believe her when she says she didn't get it, I can't imagine why she would say otherwise after all this time.. I'm just not happy with the 6 week time frame to fix it.. its not like you can resend... I left a rating when I received her end which was a week after we both said we'd post..
