That is a good point-do they put an idol back in play IF it leaves the game with a player? I know if it is played they usually put it back in play but not sure about this...anyone know?

I have a feeling that They won't put them back in play. Jeff doesn't interact with the survivors other than at the challenges and tribal, so He knows about as much as they do (if not less) about what going on between players and such (the film crew knows the most!). If the show had decided to put an idol back into play that had been voted out, they would have put Neal's idol back in a while ago.

I feel like the smartest thing the trio could have done would have been for Kyle to keep his immunity necklace, Tai to use his idol before the votes were read, and Scot to use his idol before the votes were read. this would have guaranteed they were all safe. And as far as I'm aware (maybe I missed something in an earlier episode) no one other than the trio definitively knew about the Super Idol capability.

This would have meant that the mystery of the super idol powers would be kept secret as the regular idols were played, and then put back into play the following day (after tribal). The trio would be safe, and now have the opportunity to again find two idols for use.

With the situation as it is now, I don't think there will be any idols re-posted back into play, so no more super idol.

Kind of like they were blinded by using the super idol and saw no other way. I think this is why players like Spencer compare the show to chess, you really do have to think about ALL the possible moves to make and what their outcomes could be.
