Well done on the SCOP frugalbigmama!! @Andit - hope you feel better @Natalka - nice having your son over 3 days in a row and I don't blame him 'cause I bet he misses his mom's amazing cooking. @SassyAshley - happy to hear that your in the surplus at the moment. Hope everything works out for you.

We worked on the window frame today so I now need to strip off some paint off some baseboards we will be repurposing as our baseboards are original to the house & very expensive to get made by a millworker.

@natalia enjoy your visit with Milan. A good idea to eat extra iron. I hope you start feeling better soon!
@Andit I'm sorry to hear that you are still sick. You might want to get it checked out as your symptoms sound kinda like strep (we were all stricken with it in March so I can sympathize)
@toronto166 I'm also sorry to hear that you and your DH were stricken with that horrible stomach bug. We also were stricken with that last month so I feel for you too

I got a call last week that the price of my cellphone plan was going down $5. I checked my bill online today and it actually went down $7 per month and they added 100mb of data for free (my old phone plan didn't include data before). Woo Hoo Apparently this is because my tab is paid off and my contract is up. DH thinks I should get a new phone but I think I'm going to keep my phone till it dies and save the $7 per month lol.
I finally got around to donating piles of clothes that I have been meaning to donate for the past year lol. I also donated a bunch of sheets that don't fit any beds we have anymore (we no longer have a double bed or queen bed in our house or trailer so not sure why I was keeping all the sheets lol). Also sorted through a big bin of kids shoes from the bsmt and found 2 pairs of runners my youngest DD can wear and about 30 pairs that are too small that I also donated. Worked out to be 2 gigantic garbage bags and 1 little garbage bag full that we dropped off this afternoon.
Between stuff we are selling and stuff we are donating I can't believe how much stuff we had around that we never use. It is insane!

Popped in Shoppers today. They had a .99 cent bin! Shaving cream. And men's razor ( looked on shelf and retail for $11.49 each!). And cavendish fries were marked down to .99 too! Grabbed for stocking stuffers! And noticed old sign on Mars bars minis- so SCOP. Woohoo! Put in the fridge for a sweet treat down the road

99 cent bin! Wowee! I WISH!!!
Since we are the "busy beavers" (among other things).
I took my second of two personal days this year and here is some of what I accomplished last evening and today:
-sorted through a bin of Christmas village items from my sister, kept half and will donate the other half
-changed and washed sheets, including mattress protectors which I only wash a few times a year
-visited with Mom and Grandma
-took DD#2 to Early Years Centre (she calls it her baby school and usually goes with Grandma)
-did Math APP on the iPad with DD#1 and Bible APP with both before dinner
-did mat leave administrative work
-baked GF biscuits (Betty Crocker style)
I am looking forward to being home because it allows more room for doing with people I love, as opposed to getting the list done."There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

@coupon girl relax and enjoy your 2 days, is Ashlyn is daycare when you don't babysit or is she going to be going into daycare, I thought you mentioned something about a ways back but I can't remember. Enjoy the precious time together, they grow up so quickly as you already know.

Dinner was large pack of 9 chicken drumsticks $5 and .99 package of lipton sidekicks, so $5.99 for supper for 4 people and still have 1/2 a package of sidekicks and 3 drumsticks left for lunch tomorrow so still under $5 for supper....yippee... tomorrows's dinner is quite frugal 1/2 lbs of ground lean pork $1 and 1 package of ground moose meat and buns purchased on clearance for $.99. Now I need to plan meals for the weekend and prep ahead to save me some hassles while at the cottage. Last weekend I made a bean salad which was our side dish for Saturday lunch & supper which worked out beautifully. I'm watching the 2 hour finale of Married at First Sight, nail bitter (lol)

Went to the funeral home this afternoon. Our former neighbour died on Saturday. Tomorrow I`m going to AnnaMaes. Hubby is going with me so he can get the weed eater repaired. Then we`re heading to Stratford and Pizza Hut for lunch...it`s been at least a year since we`ve been there.
Hope everyone on the sick list gets better soon.
@ bobbiegirl Good work! I need to take the time to go through my closet. I have a bunch of tops that I no longer wear.
@coupongirl I know you enjoy spending time with Ashlyn but it can get tiring. Get some rest when you can.
