I found this cute little bag on Cali and York and was curious how much the $20 bag would cost me all in:
Here's what I discovered:
Shipping and Handling:43.94 Pre-Pay Duties and Taxes No Yes Duties and Taxes: Domestic Shipping: 10.49 (??!!...to get to the delivery site?!) GRAND TOTAL: 80.82
They obviously have NO intention of shipping to Canada, so why the farce?!! Grr!
I love the clothes they have, but.......no. They really don't want to send anything to us, or they think we're crazy enough to pay those exhorbitant fees. This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Lynn49; Sun, Feb 22nd, 2015 at 12:31 PM.

On their site, they say: "Cali and York has partnered with a trusted third-party company, International Checkout, to fulfill orders for our International customers."
That's the crux of it. The third party charges fees for collecting taxes, and as such, they chose a carrier other USPS, which are also more expensive.

Oh, absolutely. That's exactly what I read.....if they'd just use USPS I may have considered it. But then there's the duties, etc...I'll be shopping in the US in April; I'm in search of the perfect lipstick red handbag!!

Holy shiza I wouldn't mind paying for that price if it was expressed. If it was standard 7-14 days, forget about it.

Now that I see this again, I think it might be worth complaining to them. I wonder if they don't know how ridiculous that third party is charging customers. What's the point of partnering with them if they won't get any customers because their prices are too high?
