When I first moved here in Nov 2013, there was only the large maple tree. Look what I have done....and I had zero previous experience in gardening and no formal training. I bought most of the perennials on clearance because I figured if it died, no big deal....but everything grew!

Very nice! Lovely @mulock !
Gorgeous @mulock !! A joy to the eyes.
My lab lab beans are green. Not sure why the leaves are like that but the beans are quite healthy looking. Also it turns out that the type I have are not climbers. They are more like a bush than a vine.

We have been enjoying fresh cherry tomatoes and jalapeños for a couple of weeks now. Crazy early but we will enjoy the bounty.
Working in the yard this morning I noticed a decent amount of large jalapeños so harvested them (again so early!!) and will do a quick fridge pickle on them this afternoon.
Left some on the vine for fresh use in salads, burgers etc. and counted another 35 growing so should have a good bounty in another couple of weeks.
Each below is 4-5” long.

Cherry Tomato and Basil salad on the menu for lunch.
GoodBoy have you considered canning cowboy candy with all your jalapeños. Apparently they are amazing and would last all year long!

Won't call ours a garden, just large half barrels of this and that out back. I totally blanked about DH planting my all-time favourite...green beans! Well good thing I did forget because I just harvested a batch and they are a decent size.
I usually get anxious and pick 'em when they are smaller. The tomatoes are still all green, but he last of the bok choy is now gathered. I'll add these tender shoots to a stir fry tonight along with some of the lone zucchini he picked earlier.

Harvested some early girl tomatoes the other day. Made yummy tomatoe sandwiches. Ate them before the pics could be taken. Lol. Next time.
