The chicken coop was a wedding present as were the etched wine glasses. For a spectacular wedding for my beloved niece last summer. I thought I could replicate her husband's cottage logo and do up a set of 60 wine glasses. Success and I have since created several dozen others that were given as gifts last year. I use a Silhouette cutter for the vinyl stencils.
Then I moved into bath bombs. I use an adjusted recipe from Pinterest which is 2 cups of baking soda to 1 cup of citric acid plus essential oils and colouring and bind by spraying witch hazel to clump up the mixture. I oil the molds (learned the hard way) with avocado oil and add rose petals etc.
I recommend Saffire Blue online store to purchase the supplies - great prices.
I have since moved on to making mozzarella cheese, Greek yoghurt and now want to start repurposing furniture. Like I said....a sickness. I get my ideas from Pinterest!

Weekend pickings. Lavender for my bath bombs, ratatouille and apples galore. The 4 cakes are cooling off right now. Hubby got stung by 3 wasps, one above the eye so more tending to him than the garden. But my, it swelled. Dpwnside to all this nature!

I am wondering if anyone on this thread can help me. My husband skipped gardening this year because he didn't get to buy the plant seedlings he usually does. This year for Christmas I want to make him a basket of what he needs to start his vegetable garden from seed indoors. At this point I can't find seeds anywhere, and want to find a good deal online with seeds meant for Atlantic Canada. I'd also like to start him on herb gardening too. Also looking for a good deal on a book or two about Atlantic Canadian food gardening if such a thing exists. If anyone can share tips and insights, I would be grateful because I am not sure what he really needs and don't want to waste money on unnecessary things.... Thanks in advance! (feel free to inbox me too). So far I hAve found a couple pkgs of onion bulbs and a pack of carrot seed, and two little kits for cucumbers and hot peppers, all on clearance, but most stuff is put away in stores now.

^^ ^^ I would try online Canadian seed catalogs like Vesseys. Not sure about sales and discounts however.

Weekend pickings and prep. Lots of strawberries and raspberries (made berry sauce...for future cakes, ice cream or bread puddings?); lots of tomatoes (made pizza sauce) as well made meat pies and apple pies (herbs and onions from the garden and apples from my orchard). Nothing beats homemade....where you can control the amounts of good stuff....and double it!

I am still picking strawberries and raspberries every second day - and plan to use the apples this long weekend and bake several pies. Kale is still growing and I have picked more beans, onions, and tomatoes. Praying for sun on the weekend!
