The carrots all taste awesome....carrots were originally purple until the 1700s. I really do love the colours....next year I will do DIY seed tape for the carrots.
I grew tons of tomatillos and gave them all away. Maybe next year I won't grow any.

Dried lavender was processed for future bath bombs and apple butter made in the crock pot. My kitchen smells heavenly.
@kidsteph .....love it love it love it. Can I have a jar please?
This year was good for me...got a lot of giant tomatoes (seeds sent to me from the US), cucumber, zuchinni, red onions, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, potatoes
Today's harvest....leeks, onions, carrots and celery. I made leek potato soup. I will pick the rest of the veggies in the next 2 weeks..then done for the year.
^^ ^^ ^^ it is just a super thick paste like apple sauce cooked all day.
2016 preparations have begun. I bought about 50 packets of heirloom seeds many of which are rare and organic with lots of rainbow types; and made my own seed mats; similar to seed tape.
Can't wait to plant!
Yes!! Good bye winter 😆
Look forward to watching your garden grow!!!
Www.cottagegardener.com in Ontario and good prices too.
Just finishing up beets and carrots from last falls harvest. They kept wonderful in my extra garage fridge. Still so tasty much better than store bought.
how did you prevent raccoon, rabbit or animals to 'steal' your vege?
[QUOTE=missmaggs;6580739]Thanks a million. Any suggestions on a few tried and true varieties?
This is my first year with this seed company. I usually buy the seedling plants. This year I am so prepared!
