    Happy Hump day! Kid off to hockey camp and then he has hockey again tonight! A busy day. Tons of driving for me today but C'est la vie.

    Happy packing!!!

    Had some definite pre labour last night, but it ceased overnight as I slept. Body is getting ready! I feel great this morning. I have already hard boiled eggs, baked GF muffins to freeze and a loaf of GF bread. Kitchen is tidy. Girls have preschool this afternoon and I plan to do groceries. DH is coming home from work to help unload groceries and help so I can rest before he goes back to do JR High Program this evening.

    I have two meals in the freezer fish, rice and veg and a pasta sausage casserole. I am definitely nesting and getting excited.

    This is what the sign says I made for our front door, "We are happy to receive visitors...however...if this sign is on the door, please give us privacy as we need quiet and rest. Text or call so we know you dropped by and can visit with you another time."

    I don't want to deter visitors, especially those who would be a help (normally ppl text or call first, but we have a few notorious visitors that don't and then overstay their welcome). After going to lay down 3 times and not being able to for more than 1 minute, I am taking charge of my sanity.

    Have a great day all!

    @Natalka Ontario seems to have the opposite weather as the west. It is only 20C here with virtually no humidity. Kids said it was too cold to go swimming lol so we're staying home this afternoon.

    aw, Granger I'll bet the reason you get more than your fair share of well meaning visitors is because of your DH's job ( Pastor )
    Everyone in the Congregation probably wants you to know how much you are loved!! Nice idea for the sign though so that you can actually take care and rest right now.

    Good afternoon, everyone.

    Ran a few errands this morning, so this afternoon will be all about playtime with the brats.

    Team Canada has taken over one of the residences (we have soo many athletes, they need their own building!). Other teams show their pride with f.l.a.g.s, we have a huge banner! Go Canada Go!!!

    I'm going to miss my new neighbours come September (even my cranky-pants neighbours are happy with the action around here). And Lily dog won't have as many folks to spy on in the fall. In the meantime, Ola Chile & Donimica! And Viva Brasil! And anyone else I ran into who wasn't sporting team colours.

    Off to play with the brats. And work on organizing my closet (still rejigging summer wardrobe options).

    Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

    Supper was pork chops and knorr sidekicks ($6) but enough for 2 people for leftovers so pretty good.

    I'm working on my August budgeting still tweaking here and there but it looks tight but manageable.

    Going to call tomorrow and order ds1 2 new uniform tops as I can't find any 2nd hand so there goes $86 for 2 tshirts.

    Also have set amount set for new shoes for ds2 and some new tops & bottoms as he has had another growth spurt, taller than me at 12 years old wowzer okay I'm only 5'3

    Also have to pay Superior for the tank pickups to the tune of $233 but glad I'm done with them and going forward my propane cost will be so much cheaper.

    It all adds up so quickly, I heard on the news tonight that we are in a "minor" recession, I don't know how it can be minor either were in 1 or not.

    Wishing everyone a wonderful evening.

    Lunch here was chicken caesar salad (using up leftover chicken and fresh garden lettuce) and a baked potato.

    Dinner was pork chops, rice, green beans (fresh from the garden - yum!), garden salad (lettuce fresh from the garden and threw in some fresh garden peas too, along with carrots, cukes, and green onion bought at NF today).

    Went to No Frills this morning and spent just under $160. Got lots of fresh fruit and the only veggies I bought were carrots (from the reduced rack lol), cukes (pm'd freshco + got 400pts) and green onions (I have all these growing but they are not ready to eat yet...). Picked up 4 bags of the chicken legs @1.27/lb, 3 boxes of the beef/pork burgers @ $4.97, Salmon and Rainbow Trout Fillets (had 30% off pink stickers on them) and 2 pkgs of Pillars sausages for $3.00 (instore sale). Now we're stocked up for fruit/veg for next week and have meat for upcoming camping trip (we're going to leaving to go camping in Meaford a week from Friday).

    Also got some great deals combining coupons with cashback deals:

    Ivory Body wash $2.97 - $2.00 wub 2 coupon - $2.50 CO51 cashback - 800pts = 32 cents each

    Secret Deoderant $2.99 (pm'd IDA) - $1.00 coupon - $2.50 CO51 cashback - 800pts = 82 cents each

    * plus I'll get a bonus 50 cents CO51 cashback for claiming 2 P & G offers *

    750g Folgers Coffee $6.88 - $1.00 tearpad coupon - $1.50 snapsaves cashback = $4.38

    Delissio Rustico Pizzas $3.33 each - $1.00 CO51 cashback and - $1.00 snapsaves cashback = $1.33 each

    * I got 4 pizzas to unlock a bonus $1.00 cashback from CO51

    Renee's Dressings $3.47 (instore sale) - $1.50 CO51 cashback = $1.97

    * I got 3 dressings to unlock a bonus $1.50 cashback from CO51

    In total with all my purchases I earned $14.10 cashback from CO51 + I will get $3.00 in unlocked bonuses, $5.50 cashback from snapsaves and 2400pts

    I wanted to get the free Iced Coffee deal (Int'l Delight Iced Coffee $3.99 @ Zehrs/Independent - $2.00 printable - $2.00 CO51 cashback) but No Frills apparently does not sell this product Oh well can't get all the deals right?

    I think we get our fair share of visitors because we are en route and because DH is handy with cars...lol...we often hear...I was nearby and my car... We are 25 min from church so don't get as many church visitors. Nonetheless, we are both open door kind of people. Normally we are happy to put aside our present need for a few to be with others. However, I almost had a panic attack thinking how tired I was and labour kicking in full throttle. Sometimes you need to take care of yourself in order to take care of others. I plan to keep the sign, it is fairly generic, polite and will serve well even when we have a flu has hit the home sort of week.
