I had a day off so I thought lets go out and have fun with cat but due to smoke that was not possible so I head to WM and used my two coupons of $2.50 off ANY Europe Best which were expiring today [Thank you ...well I wanted bags but I could only get cups [freaking small] because there was none other. ...website said it is there and stock person said that there are many but she could not find any so ya whatever. I went there to expect disaster anyway! I never had overage in my life so I tried it...p.s. I also grab one magazine...
- 2x Europe Best fruit 2x3.99 - 2x 2.50
- 1x Frixion 2-pack $5.17 =more expensive than LD but needed them
- 1x Revlon minus FPC...thanks goodness I remember that!
- 2x Lindt [two different UPC]...$2 but scanned at $2.47***
- 1x Kellogg single cup 50 cents -$1 coupon= XXX REJECTED
- 1x Cetaphil cloths 3.99 - $5 coupon= XXX REJECTED...but I did not budge...dad was giving me lecture earlier....change!! WHAT?
Here are the excuses:
- "Item is only $4"...I said WM gives overage
- "What is an overage?"
- "Item is not in the picture"...I said it says ANY
- "I cannot give you"..."???"
- Repeat this three times
Then I decided to go to CS and noted that I had been overcharge...repeat again. She called manager. Then the nice associate finally did it but wait the other associate came and said change due is 0 because of the rounding down of 65 cents to 0pffft...I said "no.. change due is $0.65"
***I only got one for free...despite having different UPC code..I did not argue...you will see that I spent about 15 minutes at customer service so I was tired and just let go...hey they did not ask for my age this time hehehe...feel so proud of some of you for going to WM!
But hey I got 0.65 cents hehehe...I just adhere to this one like a glue as I did not let go
p.s. of course I did not yell and remained calm...I wished I had gotten the free chocolate anyway but she got in angry moodEvil WM...

@Arvilish , I see at the bottom of your receipt it says We want to know how we are doing.
Suggestion: maybe let them know how you were treated

Assuming that the price was incorrect on the shelf vs. the register AND the shelf label matched the product exactly (I'm saying this since there are times not all of the flavours of the same product are on sale), then yes, with 2 different UPC codes, both would be free.

if you had Two Lindt chocolate bars and the Upc's matched the displayed price then yes you should've got both free since Walmart follows the Scanning code of practice. Both are considered different products because they have different upc.. If you had two of the same products and they scanned wrong you'd get one free and the other for the advertised price. Since yours we're different then both should've been free.

Here is photo of real things, along with glorious 65 cents [LOL I am exaggerated drama-queen???]
:
p.s. oh cashier agreed that shelf label matches the UPC for BOTH but she said that you can only get one for free. I am thinking they would probably had all the other Lindt chocolate wrongly priced as well. I am little upset though because I did not know that you can get both for free....arr these SCOPs are harder to understand! Hey at least I did not pay 47 cents extra! #PennyPincher!

It actually says the first of each identical item free.
http://www.competitionbureau.gc.ca/eic/site/cb-bc.nsf/vwapj/ct02381e.pdf/$FILE/ct02381e.pdf
The Item Free Scanner Policy – The Retailers' Promise of Price Accuracy.
If the scanned price of a non-price ticketed item is higher than the shelf price or any other displayed price, the customer is entitled to receive the item free, up to a $10 maximum. When the item has a price tagged, the lowest price applies. When identical items are incorrectly priced, the second one will be sold at the correct price.
The bars are NOT identical so you should get both for free. You can complain and have it corrected.Last edited by kerrylj; Thu, Jul 2nd, 2015 at 11:37 AM.
