What did you get?

Hey everyone!
We're new to couponing and we were wondering how this emailing a company thing works?
- Where do you get the email address to send to the company?
- What do you usually write in the email?
- Do you email your address or do they send you printable coupons?
Any other tips would be helpful,
Thanks.
Where do you get the email address to send to the company? go to their Canadian websites and click "contact us"
What do you usually write in the email? You must be legit in your email. Either you really do enjoy their product or you have a legit complaint. You can ask if they have any coupons to offer you as you want to either try or continue to purchase their products.
Do you email your address or do they send you printable coupons?
There is usually a part in the email form for your addy's. If not I will close my email with my address. Sometimes they even reply with an email asking for your mailong addy.
Other Tips:
Be genuine! If you have a seriously legit complaint then go for it and be prepared to send them product info if requested. If people bombard these companies with fake complaint s to get FPC's etc eventually it will stop all together and then we all loose :(
Thanks harbie. Very helpful.
I was wondering what happened to this thread as I have been looking for it for a while . Did this not used to be in the main coupon section?
yeah I was looking too. I e-mailed Kellogg's because I found a foreign object in my cereal and they called me within an hour of me sending the e-mail and are sending me coupons to replace the box.
I emailed Tetley about a problem with their tea bags and they sent me a FPC and 1.00 off.
Just want to say thanks to the mod for moving this back to the coupon section.
It was probably about 4 years ago that I had a problem with a box of Kraft Dinner (the cheese powder was brownish). Called the CS and they sent me out over $20.00 in FPCs. Wow...now I almost pray for something to be wrong with my KD....alas, no such luck....LOL
Also, years ago before the internet became so commonplace, I used to call or write snail mail to companies. Now, I usually just email. I find that I don't get nearly the number of good coupons that I used to. I don't know if it's just the times (more requests...less to spread around) or that companies give a little more to those who put forth the effort to actually write and post a letter. I'd go back to writing letters, but if it "just the times" using a stamp to get a $.50 off coupon just isn't worth it.
Bump
I emailed compound W about buying a product at shoppers that was already expired (wasnt even on sale). No response and its been about 3 weeks!!
I would have taken it back to shoppers but I didnt have the reciept and I had used it all before I realized it was expired.
If my kids ever get a wart again I am so looking for a different brand, I still dont even know if they will fully go away since the product was expired.
Just sent them another email, hopefully they actually respond to this one or I am telling everyone I know NEVER to buy from them again.
good one
I emailed purina , whiskas, and caesar .... Only purina would send me coupons... The other two said they dont send out coupons... Yadda yadda
I called Kimberly Clarke this morning asking for any coupons that could be sent out. They make Huggies, and sent me 4X FPC for any sizes for diapers! The Rep was great, Was VERY impressed. She also put me on a monthly mailing list.
