What small thing did you do today to save money?

Cancelled a credit card ( well it was discontinued ) but I never activated the new one they replaced it with and also closed a never used LOC account I had with them. Total freedom from one of the Big Five. ha ha

Decided,though tired to come home to make supper from things on hand rather than buy fast food.
Trying to live out of our cupboards and freezer rather than more convenient grabbing fast food.

Taking the time to meal plan is worth it.

Baked my son's birthday cake.

Used $18.98 in coupons, plus in store savings on receipt came to 47% savings today.

Kept shopping at Walmart on line and then closing the page a good way to save many bucks.

did a lot of gap and old navy shopping for birthdays and xmas for grandchildren -then followed up and called when the prices went cheaper and got the credits back on my credit card 22.97 for 12 orders for the month of august -that in itself is a savings

Saved money and simplified my life and DH's by not renewing a CC and transferring money to more used accounts and closing others.

Redeemed free credit card points for a $25 gc to Canadian Tire.
Sold extra garden tomatoes and zucchini.
Traded extra green tomatoes for more garden carrots, a butternut squash, and a spaghetti squash.
Dug more red potatoes from our garden and still have more produce to harvest.
Sold more small baby clothes.
Bought kids winter clothes second hand.

$6.84 saved as an item I ordered from Amazon went down in price from the date I ordered to the date it was shipped.

Scored the last Dove shampoo and conditioner duo pack for $3 at Shoppers - I checked the shelf and if I bought them separately it would cost $9.98

Made a big fruits salad because all the fruits where in sale more cheaper than a canned one and more tasty
This upcoming week I will make another loaf of banana bread,some salmon pies,an apple crisp and maybe something with pumpkin.
Planning the meals and snacks ahead sure save me a lots of money

bought a gift for my girlfriends new grandson -used 2 gift bags I had as I save them (saved 2.00 from not buying at the dollar store),ordered from the gap as it was 40% off and they had sent me a card to use the code so saved an extra 5.00 also
-oh update don't have to buy a card either -have a teddy bear card that will do as a new baby card -saved another 1.00
