Our provider has some pick and pay options $2.99/channel, such a good option! I really hope they add HGTV to that list soon!

I took the boys to value village to buy a used video game for our ancient xbox (refuse to buy a new one...i don't let them game that much). And used my 30% off card! !! I may have bought a few books for myself though😉. So I got the game for less than 4$

I went to a new second hand store that I found that is in a near-by town that I was in. It was very nicely arranged and organizied. I bought 2 soft-cover books for .25 each.
I also got a free box of cereal today (as did a lot of others.) I forgot last week to pick up the Minions freebie.
I also found a bottle of alcohol free fizzie apple drink that is all natural so I can use it as a "wine" for a special occasion in the clearance section at RCSS with an extra 30% off.
I always shop the clearance section of any store. They are usually WAY at the back so you have to walk past all the regular priced items. If I can match up the clearance with a coupon, it's all the better.(But you all know that)

    What a great thread!

This weekend I found a thing of mini cupcakes for 0.49, which will be my weekly treat for the next month and a bit.

I bought 2 cantaloupes and cut them up for the week. Between this, my apples and pears, I will have enough snacks for the week and will save by no buying chips/cookies from Shoppers downstairs.

I also prepared mason jars of Greek dressing and Caesar dressing for salads during the week, rather than not having dressing and then buying something for lunch.

    Greek dressing:
3 tablespoons and 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
3 tablespoons and 1/2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
    1/2 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard

    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Mix it all up. This usually makes one serving for me. You may also want to play with the ratio of oil and vinegar. I like it tangy, so I use equal parts. It separates pretty quickly, but is easy to re-mix if you just shake it.

The caesar dressing is a bit less defined. I've been making this for so long, I just eyeball everything, and don't remember the measurements that I started with.

    Ingredients:
    Mayo
    Milk
    Chopped garlic
    Lemon juice
    Worcester sauce (WS)
    Salt and pepper

Start with mayo, maybe a couple spoonfuls for a single/two portion. Add garlic, salt and pepper and mix. Add a small amount of milk, lemon juice and WS and mix. Add each incrementally to taste. I start with a splash of milk, and two or three squeezes/dash of lemon juice and WS. I add a dash or two until I get the taste that I want. The milk will help thin it out, depending on how you like it.

Submitted expenses that are eligible for reimbursement. Just like mail-in rebates, sometimes other expenses that we can get reimbursed get set aside and forgotten... Today I submitted a couple of medical expenses from this month (massage, sleep study, etc.) and sent the invoice to the city for the $$ paid to have the city tree roots cut from the city side of the sewer line. I didn't even know that the city would pay for this the first time we had to get it done, so I lost out that time.

Hung my laundry out on the line. I've tried to only wash on sunny warm days this summer so I can eliminate using the dryer as much as possible. Also didn't go anywhere, so didn't spend anything!

Made and brought my breakfast and coffee at home this morning. Brought leftovers from dinner last night for my lunch today. Working through my lunch so no mindless shopping. Its a good day

I saved $5 by using a coupon I found in the newspaper to get my drive clean test done at Jiffy Lube. I then renewed my sticker for 2 years before it goes up $10 (per yr), so I saved a total of $25 ! yay!
