I drink tap water but use bottled occasionally.

I do think it's important to protect the world's potable water supply though and seeing as some of the water in the aquifers are over a million years old, it's probably a good idea to save some for the future generations. Who knows what droughts may lay ahead and we do have good tap water today.
I'm beginning to change my mind on the bottled water as I read more about it.

I use a Santevia water pitcher and fill it with tap water. There's lot of good water filters out there nowadays.

Also keep in mind the complete waste of resources involved in processing, bottling, and transporting bottled water...

BPA is one chemical of many. Plastic poisons you slowly, unfortunately.

Sorry for further hijacking, but in case anyone is wondering about what products Nestle owns...

Sad that this is what happens when the Capitalists divert our attention with feel-good, dumb-down tactics while building their monopolies. They make their billions on the backs of you and me who are clipping coupons and pinching pennies.

Nestle is a huge company. Bottled water is only a small percentage of their worth.

They say the water they remove is easily replenished by nature and mention that it takes 600 litres of water to produce 20 litres of tap water.Their industry uses only 1.3 litres of water to make one litre of bottled water.

What really baffles me is why, if the water that's bottled is free and supposedly needs less costly cleaning and filtering it as it's from springs and aquifers.....why is it unavailable in taps??? Why go through the process of cleaning dirty water with chemicals to make it potable. It's totally backwards. It may be safe to drink but the process is pretty gross. We should eliminate the plastic bottle and have potable water available in taps perhaps at a few local stores or government regulated places where you could fill your own containers. That would be awesome but probably just a pipe dream.
In the meantime if the plastic is a concern, there is Perrier in glass bottles, another Nestle product.
