TLC cancels "19 Kids and Counting

Personally, I thought the show would have self-destructed because one of the kids came out as gay.
Josh being a sexual predator really threw me but given how close the Duggars were with Bill Gothard...I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.

I used to watch the show as some kind of brainless trainwreck session. I knew they had some very dubious quirks in their lives, like Pearl approved blanket training as well as the whole super-freaky modesty and purity requirements..

I never watched it either but I think I may have seen part of a show many years ago (I just remember them naming all their J named kids.) The truth usually comes out in the end and it makes it all the more sensational when it's been covered up and glossed over. It's no wonder that most people view religion as hypocritical with folks like this that aren't the role models they could be.

not surprised by the allegations
but thought one of the cameramen were a molester

I just felt they were creepy. Really creepy...I just couldn't stand their "holier than thou" posturing.

Lynn49, I am wondering if this family's show is cancelled, will they do the same to Caitlin Jenner when they are through with him? Television companies care only about profit and not about the people in their shows. If they did, they would be offering a portion of their profits for counselling for the 4 sisters and others who were abused as children.

First it was Honey Boo Boo's show and now this. Which one is next?
It's quite sad.

TLC is initially exploiting those families for their own profit and the expectation is that they suddenly become bleeding hearts and offer financial aid? Lol......not bloody likely.
I have NO idea what the h&ll I'm supposed to be "learning" by being a peeping tom and watching the garbage they produce. Which is why I don't. Everyone is exploited for profit and yes, tossed into the garbage when they're done with them.

I agree with you. TLC does not equal The Learning Channel any more.

All I learned from TLC was cancel cable, and I have not missed any of the train wreck time suck shows they were airing. I miss A&E though.

We didn't have TLC in our cable package for a long long time. And now that we switched to digital, we have it again. Thankfully I watch all my shows on my computer so I miss out on stuff like that. (I gave my tv to my parents to make it easier for them with the digital channels.)

I believe that Duck Dynasty also had an issue but not sure if it was a TLC show.

Duck Dynasty os A&E..and has an anti-gay removal ( for 9 days) but also there has been well.lists..
