^ LOL, I wasn't going to be the one to comment on ties, but - lecale, I totally thought the same thing. It was fugly.
Best line of the debate:
Justin Trudeau called Tom Mulcair’s promises “puffs of smoke,” which Mulcair responded saying “you know a little about that don’t you, Justin.”
I had to stop watching about 7:30 (it started at 6 here).
I thought the debate/questions were really sloooow paced... or was that just me?
I don't think there was a winner. However, Trudeau surely came off most unfavourably.
Mulcair was meh...
I liked how Harper listened intently, didn't interrupt (how irritating was Mulcair with that!), and actually looked at the other two during their answers, not just camera-gazing like the other two did.
He's a statesman, it's so very apparent.
Why couldn't the whole debate have gone like this? (cbc pic before the debate)

Mulcair does speak well - but there are times when he gets this manic (?) look in his face, it's odd... Didn't see it tonight, though.

I have seen Mulcair go Angry Tom, it scares me that we could send him to represent Canada on a national level like that but he seemed much more statesman-like tonight
It bugged me in the second portion where he said he was hoping they would go off script and right away, you hear the usual rally speech, word for word.

I missed it , we were out but I heard it was very poorly moderated and turned into quite the farce.
Heard the winner was Trudeau.

I have seen all 3 declared the winner from various sources, but IMO Trudeau came last. He seemed like a spoiled kid (not picking on his age here, but the constant personal jabs and speaking over people was in poor taste)
Walmsley was a poor moderator, with some biased quips himself and not stopping them when speaking over each other and relying just on the bell to get them to stop talking when their time was up.

Does anyone know what Trudeau will do for the working class / those in poverty? I have heard middle class come out of his mouth in almost every remark

There is a buzz about something Harper said. Many ppl are wondering what he meant by the term "Old Stock Canadians"
Maybe his new political consultant Lynton Crosby's influence?
