thinking a few people might like to listen to the cross country checkup show today, title of which is:
'at the end of one of the longest election campaigns in history, have you made up your mind?'
Election eve: In the dying hours of the longest federal election campaign in modern history, have you made up your mind? And did the 78-day campaign help? Join Suhana Meharchand, Sunday on CBC Radio One and SiriusXM at 1 pm PT, 2 pm MT, 3 pm CT, 4 pm ET, 5pm AT, and 5:30 pm NT
as usual i mention (for those who don't know) it is a live 2 hour call-in radio show - no breaks for news.

click on the listen live link, (you can listen to the show anytime through the link) or of course it is on the radio.
suhana is a great guest host, but i am still missing rex, those few minutes on 'at issue' is insufficient.

Yeah, Suhanna is great, but Rex is Rex - there's no replacing him. Sigh.

It is sad to see the people like Rex Murphy and Robert Fisher leaving, over the past years, you can see the reporting of Parliament and the Ontario Legislature get worse as people have left (or been fired/reassigned). It seems they want that hyped up OMG the world is ending type reporting rather than the more intelligent discussion those people brought.
I imagine that gryphon may pop in, or will see it tomorrow, so Happy Birthday!

The same can be applied to what is on Telly. Majority of the people don't watch intelligent shows, and instead prefer the hyped up Bachelorette / Bachelor shows, "reality TV shows" about nonsense", that OMG hype on Facebook / Twitter, vice say reading the National geographic or the British Medical Journal.
Point here....sex / shocker sells, and things are being tailored to the demand of the public

Etobicoke painted Blue....Looks like Rob wore his best track suit yet. Sponsored by Adidas????
Conservative Leader Stephen Harper capped off a hectic Saturday of campaigning in Ontario and Quebec by giving a fiery speech at a much-discussed rally promoted by Toronto's Ford brothers.
Both Rob Ford, the former Toronto mayor who admitted to using crack cocaine while in office, and his brother Doug attended the event at the Toronto Congress Centre in the suburb of Etobicoke.

Grannies need to be told...."ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". Lesson for the younger would be grannies / gramps..stay in school, get an education in something marketable, put money aside towards a pension. That way you won't be relying on anybody or the Govt.
People talk about *some* immigrants / refugees being a liability on the economy, when in fact there are a lot of born and bred Canadians that are 10x worse.
