We were out of almonds. We use them a lot. Costco wanted $19.99 for 1.3 kg. Plus there is a $55 membership fee factored in.
Loblaws, produce department, has a section for bulk nuts and dried fruit (like cranberries) and trail mix.
Bought President's Choice almonds, reg. $4.99/245 g, clearance $2.99*, exp. Jan 2016.
Bought 7 packages totaling 1.7 kg weight = $20.93
PC points accumulated = 20000 or $20.00
Redeemed PC points
Out of pocket = $0.93 (over 93% savings compared to Costco's price)
Tip: check the date of groceries that expire. I am finding that stores may not discard all expired products. Some of the almonds were dated April 2015. Told the employees about it before leaving.
Almonds went in the freezer

Wow, amazing score. I have stopped buying almonds at Costco it's too tempting to have such a quantity and so expensive.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

I think you need to change the title and include $ 0.93 with PC points redemption as the present title is misleading
