Crappiest summer in my life so far. Oh, well... it can't all be kitties and rainbows.
It's nostalgia which got me through it, of wonderful summers past.
#1: We were able to do a lot of camping and family activities this Summer, much more than I thought we would considering DD was sick for the first month or so (her PICC line and daily nurse visits prevented us from doing a lot).
We missed Strawberry picking and our annual Summer vacation we usually take but that's about it.
Every weekend was full! Camping at the lake, family events, festivals, etc. During the week there were a lot of splash pad visits, library events, play dates, picnics, day trips, swimming lessons, etc.
Honestly I'm kind of happy Summer is almost over. It's been exhausting. lol
#2: I'm happy with weekly questions since I don't get on SC as much as I used to but really whatever you decide Dan is good by me. Thanks for thinking up great questions!
My vote = daily question, please & thanks
I guess Norman Rockwell summed up well, with this pic:
start of summer vacation vs end of summer vacation

a weekly question is fine by me dan.
The summer was not any different for me ( retired ), but I did catch a VERY BLUE FEVER!!! ( Lets' Go BLUE JAYS Let's GO!! )
Quite a different summer for us with our new on-site trailer: love the second bedroom, which worked out very nicely when our Grandson and his friend came over to watch some movies there! Spending more time with the kids is always a blessing! Without the hauling!
Hm....I enjoyed the QOTD and answered when I could, ignored it when I didn't feel it applied to me or I had nothing to contribute, so either way is fine with me, Dan!! :)
summer was fine, would of preferred going on vacation in late july or early august.... but i didn't get a choice
i prefer weekly questions.
Not really the summer I was hoping for. With DH off on medical leave, we didn't stray to far from home or get much manual labor items crossed off the to do list. That being said, we definitely fit in some awesome lake days at our friends cabin and spent a few days with my nieces and nephews. (We did up a couple of 'throwing paint' art projects with all the kids for DBIL's new place, so much fun!)
One highlight of my summer has definitely been my first real attempt at a garden! Things actually grew... :P
I'm good with either option on the QOTD or QOTW :)
